Keynote Speaker: Dr. James P. Delgado, PhD, FRGS, RPA - Underwater Adventurer
Lessons from History for Present Day Success
A trained underwater archeologist, historian, scientist, researcher, and lecturer, Dr. Delgado is well known for his work on shipwrecks and was the first archaeologist to dive to the wreck of the Titanic. He is also the host of National Geographic International's new television series The Sea Hunters; and as a dedicated author, he has captured his adventures in nearly 30 books and numerous journal articles. His major works include:
- Adventures of a Sea Hunter: In Search of Famous Shipwrecks
- Lost Warships: An Archaeological Tour of War at Sea
- Across the Top of the World: The Quest for the Northwest Passage
Dr. Delgado is the Executive Director of the Institute of Nautical Archaeology, the world's leading scientific and education organization dedicated to understanding humanity's history of interaction with the sea, and for 15 years was Executive Director of the Vancouver Maritime Museum in British Columbia. Drawing from exploration history and his numerous underwater adventures, find out what makes a successful leader - be it in business or at sea - and the important values that history can teach us.
Global Regulatory Update
Chemicals are assessed, managed and classified differently by various governments across the world - each having a degree of impact in other jurisdictions. Find out what the European Union, Australia and the U.S. governments are undertaking with respect to chemical regulations and GHS from the industry perspective.

New PMRA Executive Director, Richard Aucoin (invited) will join us to discuss how we collectively address the science debate and manage the numerous challenges for the industries regulated under Health Canada over the next 5 years.
